In this paper I will explore the Gaia Hypothesis. The inspiration of this paper comes from a video I created about two women who are waking in china town independently from each other. Once they cross each other's paths, a slow shutter image is introduced while both go into a dark ally, and enter the same door. At this point reality shifts to a different time and space. It's an environment were reptiles are equal to humans. The same two women are naked, where their skin is earth, or animal-like, camouflaged into a jungle environment. Their communication is without words, it happens through a more innate behavior of the senses. They play and worship with a bearded dragon lizard as one of their equals.

555.20315 Sagan and Scientific Literacy
The expression, ?You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free? has New Testament origins and so should probably not serve as the basis for a paper on the importance of scientific literacy, but if we can divorce the saying from its context it would indeed serve as a touchstone for Carl Sagan?s insistence on the importance of scientific literacy ? which he expresses with especial eloquence in The Demon-Haunted World: Science as a Candle in the Dark as well as throughout much of the rest of his writings. For truth does set us free.

Throughout mankind?s history, people have collected and shared information. Storytelling was a form of passing knowledge from one person to another. Cave paintings recorded events for people to view thousands of years later. However, today?s society is one which values the storage, retrieval and sharing of information in a much more efficient manner. Today, thanks to the Internet, organizations and individuals can access information in the blink of an eye from tens of thousands of miles away. This technology is highly depended on a segment of Information Technology termed ?middleware?, and an emerging area of study ? web services. By examining the history of middleware, the current technologies being utilized for web services, and the comparison of these technologies, one can understand where this segment is heading and in what areas future growth lies.

This paper disucsses network security as a need and a problem, noting that in a network of interconnected computers, the issue becomes how to protect data from attack while allowing those who are authorized to use the system to do so with relative ease, and the answer is usually issuance of passwords and other codes that allow authorized users in and keep unauthorized users out, though this is not a complete answer to security.
